Ethel M. Sheridan, 86, a resident of Arnold, passed away on August 10, 2018 at Rebecca Fortney Inpatient Care Center in Pasadena. She was born on May 15, 1932 in New Orleans, LA, was raised in Annapolis, MD, and graduated from Annapolis High School. She previously lived in Annapolis before residing in Arnold. Ethel worked as a secretary at Nationwide Insurance Agency and was an office manager for Corrigan Insurance Agency.

She loved gardening, loved spending time at the beach, enjoyed the casino, loved to travel, and was an avid tennis player. She also enjoyed spending time at her pool with her family.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Ann Cooley of Harwood, MD; brother, George William Norfolk and sister-in-law, Loretta Norfolk of Pasadena, MD; niece, Lori Rae Dorman of Harwood, MD; nephew, Sydney Geary Norfolk of Arnold, MD; niece, Kelly Lynne Timmons of Harwood, MD; niece, Stacy Ann Robinson of Annapolis, MD; nephew, Michael Murnane of Annapolis, MD; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 5-8 PM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1911 Forest Drive, Annapolis, MD 21401.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403.
