Eric Big E Vreeland passed peacefully in his sleep on December 22, 2025.

Born and raised on Long Island New York, he graduated from Bethpage High School in 1966.  He went on to Aviation School and earned his aircraft and Power Plant Tickets to become an aircraft mechanic, which he later retired as a Lead Mechanic at BWI Airport.

He and his wife Carol moved to Arnold Maryland in 1971 and raised their children in Arnold and  Severna Park MD.  He and Carol had a beautiful relationship,  and we're excellent role models and parents for their children.  There wasn't many weekends that the family wasn't playing music and dancing around the house together.  He could build or fix anything.   He loved mechanics and was always working on a project.   He had a sticker in his garage that said "The one who dies with the most toys wins".  His family deems him the winner.  Through his lifetime he had cars, boats, Harley Davidson's and even mopeds.  If it had wheels, he had one.  He was part of a hunting club and enjoyed going to a local gun range.   Happy Hours and Trivia with his friends was also on his list of favorites     If you knew him he was your friend and you his.   He kept friends for life and was still close friends with many high school friends and people he worked with at the airlines throughout the years.   His wife's family accepted him as part of the family,  he was considered a sibling and a son to them.

He is survived by his three children Wendy Neal (Charles), Stephanie Vreeland and Eric Vreeland as well as 3 Grandchildren Megan Goddard (Chris), William Vreeland and Margaret Vreeland.  Also his brother Victor (Judy) Vreeland in TX.

He was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and loving wife Carol Ann Vreeland, who we are sure she is dancing with again.  Also his parents William Herbert and Hannah Isabel Vreeland.

As per his wishes, a party will be held instead of a service.  It will be called The Big E-vent.   It will be held at a later date and again with his wishes it will have music, shared stories and beer.   He was so amazing and will be missed by so many.
