Eric Brian Feliu, born November 30th, 1966, in Baltimore Maryland, the son of Julio Feliu and Patricia Athanas, passed away peacefully at home in Arnold Maryland early morning Friday, January 9th. 

Eric leaves behind his loving wife Lisa, whom he married on August 27th, 1991, in St. Thomas. Together Eric and Lisa had three wonderful children, daughter Savanna, and sons Matthew and Daniel. He was a loving older brother to Mark, son-in-law to Ginger, stepson to Eleanor, future father in-law to Steve, Savanna’s fiancé, and numerous other family members.

Eric's Greek and Puerto Rican heritage played a vital role in shaping the man he was. He joined the Marine Corp. in 1991 and reached the rank of Sergeant before leaving the military in 1998 to pursue a career in software engineering. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Park University in 1995, this degree led him to a long successful career in the Defense and Space Industries. His career began in 1997 at Northrop Grumman where he worked for over 20 years. He continued on to Riverstone Enterprise Solutions in 2019, SSE Solutions in 2022, and Navstar in 2023 where he was a highly respected and appreciated member of the team.

Eric had many hobbies, he enjoyed fencing, science fiction, and gaming. Above everything, he took the most joy in spending time with his family. Eric spent countless hours bonding with his children over their shared love of video games. Eric and Lisa cherished their weekend routine together where they would try new restaurants, go on Costco runs, and end the night with some quality time on the couch for some true crime or reality TV. Eric always looked forward to the Feliu family vacations every year. The family traveled up and down the east coast spending time with Lisa’s family in Florida and hitting every amusement park in between. 

Christmas was an event in the Feliu household, the family had many traditions: from reciting every line of Jingle All The Way and Elf with son Daniel, going to “Lights on the Bay”, to hosting for the annual Christmas family gathering. 

There are no words to express what Eric meant to his family, his kindness will leave a lasting impact on anyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. He was an amazing father, son, and husband. 

We love and will miss him forever.

Family and friends may visit on Friday January 16th from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Barranco Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park MD 21146. Interment will be private.
