Emidio (Ed) Briganti

Emidio (Ed) Briganti, age 90, of Severna Park, MD died March 15, 2010 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. Born in Waterbury, CT, he moved to Severna Park, MD upon retirement in 1963. Mr. Briganti was in the Marine Corps where
he saw action in WW II and the Korean Conflict. After retirement from the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Briganti was employed by the Westinghouse Electric Company until he retired in 1984.
Mr. Briganti was preceded in death by his late wife, Clementine Briganti, whom he was married to for over 63 years, and his late son, Stephen Briganti. He is survived by his three sons, Joseph Francis Briganti of Niceville, FL, Frank E. Briganti of Severna Park, MD, and John M. Briganti of Chesapeake, VA; two daughters, Theresa H. Moorman of Chase, MD and Nancy C. Briganti of Pasadena; fifteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a good friend of Dr. Kathleen Tall and classmate Col. DB Pond, Jr.
The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 4 pm-7 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park, MD.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at 12:00 pm on March 19, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Ritchie Highway & Cypress Creek Road. Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD. Arrangements are by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
