Elsie Bowen Marshall, 90, a longtime resident of Severna Park, passed away on July 10, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.


Elsie was born to her parents Leland and Annie Bowen on April 20, 1920 in Calvert County, where she was raised. Mrs. Marshall also lived in Glen Burnie prior to moving to Severna Park. She was employed as a title examiner with the Motor Vehicle Administration from 1973-2006.


Mrs. Marshall was a member of Harundale Presbyterian Church in Glen Burnie, where she taught Sunday School. An avid golfer, Mrs. Marshall was one of the first members of Chartwell Golf and Country Club in Severna Park. She, too, enjoyed gardening.

Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband, Webster H. Marshall, Sr. in 1973. She is survived by her sons, Webster H. Marshall, Jr. (Delores) of Hardwick, GA and Phillip S. Marshall (Patty) of Severna Park, MD; her sister, Lucille Bowen of Prince Frederick, MD; as well as, three grandchildren, Webster H. Marshall, III, Brooks Marshall, and Paige E. Marshall.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 14th from 10:30am – 12 noon. A funeral service will immediately follow at noon. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 1850 York Road, Suite D Timonium, MD 21093.
