Elmer Frank Sins, 87, a 50 year resident of Pasadena, MD, died of natural causes at his son's home in Ashland, VA on December 15, 2008.
He was born on March 1, 1921 in Pittsburgh. PA, where he was raised.
Mr. Sins was stationed at Fort Meade during WWII and met Anna Marie Arvey and were married on December 21, 1944. He worked for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, later known as the Baltimore & Annapolis Railroad, before retiring in 1981.
He enjoyed sports, playing cards, and vegetable gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie Sins, who died on September 07, 2008.
Survivors include his sons, Alan Sins (wife Lynn) of Asheville, NC and Charles R. Sins (wife Jane) of Ashland, VA; four grandchildren, Ashley Bacot, Sabrina Emge, Jessica Basso, and Jamie Seay; and nine great-grandchildren, Jacob Barker, Olivia Emge, Kylie and Eliza Bacot, Tyler and Logan Seay, Alex Basso, Coralyn Seay and Jacob Basso.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, December 18 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 19 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, MD.
