Ellen Stanton of East Petersburg, PA passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Coastal Hospice in Salisbury, MD after an extended illness. Ellen was born on December 7, 1954, in Bloomfield, NJ to Michael and Doris Mauiello.

Ellen graduated from Grove City College where she met her husband, David. They were married on July 12, 1975. Together they had three children, Treva Stanton of Lancaster, PA, Anne Bryan (Kenneth) of Cary, NC, and James Stanton (Julie) of Medina, Ohio.

Ellen loved children and was a life-long educator. She spent the majority of her career at St. Martins in the Field Day School in Severna Park, MD. Above all else, Ellen loved her family. Her greatest joy was becoming a grandmother to Joshua, Luke, Colson, Parker, and Evelyn.

Ellen is survived by her husband, David, her three children and five grandchildren, brothers Mark of Waxhaw, NC, Paul of Hagerstown, MD, sisters Martha of Ocean Pines, MD, and Beth of Camp Hill, PA, and many nieces and nephews.

Funds will be dedicated to lower school enrichment field trips which were prominent in Mrs. Stanton's teaching philosophy.
