IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth "Lisa"
Tisdale
August 6, 1965 – March 10, 2024
Elizabeth (Lisa) Tisdale, 58, a resident of Annapolis, passed away on March 10, 2024, at her parents' home, surrounded by her family, after a battle with gynecologic cancer. She was born in Sarasota, Florida, on August 6, 1965, to Glenn Tisdale Sr. and Patricia Peake Tisdale, who met while working in Florida. Her father, originally from Wilmington, DE, was working in the aerospace industry at Electro-Mechanical Research. Her mother, from Baltimore, was working as a social worker for the state of Florida in Bradenton, Florida.
Lisa grew up in Severna Park, MD. She attended local schools, including Severna Park High School, where she developed a lifelong love of Spanish culture and the Spanish language. She continued her studies at Towson University, maintaining her passion for the Spanish language and culture throughout her life.
Lisa loved people and had many friends. She was keen to understand their thoughts, interests, and relationships. She spent most of her career in roles where she connected with a wide variety of people and maintained an extended group of friends in later years. She also enjoyed celebrations of all kinds and never failed to remember a birthday or anniversary.
A significant part of Lisa's social circle came from the Bay Ridge Christian Church, where she found solace, joy, and a deep sense of belonging. Many people she met at BRCC became continuing friends and sources of emotional strength. She traveled with them, relaxed with them, and shared their tragedies and triumphs.
In addition to a wide circle of friends, Lisa leaves behind her immediate family. Her relationship with her father was very special; he supported her emotionally through many of life's challenges and was always there for her as a confidant and sounding board. Her mother's love was unconditional, and they shared a bond unique to mothers and daughters. Her brother, an inspiration and greatly admired by her, cared deeply about her and spent the last year researching her medical details and guiding her medical care.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Bay Ridge Christian Church on April 6, 2024 at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bay Ridge Christian Church, 1071 Bay Ridge Road, Annapolis, MD 21403 or www.brcc.church .
