Elizabeth K. Spiegel

Elizabeth Kathleen Spiegel, 70, a resident of Cape St. Claire for 37 years, died of complications associated with Alzheimer's/Dementia on Oct. 6, 2010 at the Future Care Chesapeake Nursing Home on College Parkway.

Born on April 20, 1940 in Baltimore County, the former Elizabeth Kathleen Daffin married Joseph Anthony Spiegel on June 22, 1962. She worked for the Johns Hopkins Hospital for a number of years and retired from the Anne Arundel Community College after working in their Print Shop for 22 years.

In addition to her husband, Joseph Anthony Spiegel, Kathy is survived by her two sons, Glenn Ralph Spiegel, Michael Anthony Spiegel (Karen Leava); her two grandchildren, Derek Anthony Spiegel and Loren Ashley Spiegel; as well as, her great granddaughter, Mia Spiegel. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She had passion for homemaking and will always be remembered as someone who gave more than she expected.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial visitation from 2:00-5:00pm on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Maryland Chapter, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093-3142.
