Elizabeth A Jansky, 70 years old of Pasadena, MD, lost her courageous battle with Alzheimer's and related illnesses, on Friday afternoon, January 26, 2018 at the Household of Angels in Severna Park.

Born on March 23, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland, and named after her paternal grandmother, Betty was the daughter of Nelline and Charles B Jansky.  Betty was known for having a diverse employment history.  After graduating from The Catholic High School of Baltimore in 1965, she began her employment history as a paralegal in Baltimore.  She then gained experiences by working in the trucking industry, at Monumental Properties, Poly Seal, Chimes, Inc., Anne Arundel County Public Health Department, and later retired from the State of Maryland Comptroller's Office in 2011.

Betty received numerous awards for her volunteerism and leadership in the Anne Arundel Department of Recreation and Parks, specifically the Friends of Downs Park.  Throughout Betty's life, she enjoyed being with family and lifelong friends.

Betty is survived by Linda M Jansky (sister) of Easton, Rita A (sister) and Edward C Grosscup of Pasadena, Olga W Taplin (sister) of Texas, Michael Goad (nephew) and Jayne Goad of Florida, Charles B (brother) and Carol A Jansky of Pasadena, Christopher (nephew) and Eugenia Kelly of Oregon, Chase and Camden (grand nephews) Kelly of Oregon.  Betty valued her large extended family with numerous maternal first and second cousins.

Services:
