Elizabeth Ann Gwilliam (nee Andreacchio), 56, a 6 year resident of Severna Park, died on August 14, 2012 at Mandrin Inpatient Care Center in Harwood, after a two and a half year fight with ALS, Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Liz an Army Brat was born on February 18, 1956 in San Francisco, CA. Previous childhood residences included Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Washington State, Kansas and Texas, Uruguay and Germany. She graduated from Fort Knox High School and from Seattle University, where she majored in Biology. She served in the U.S. Army ROTC for 6 years and obtained the rank of Captain. Elizabeth married her husband on December 2, 1983 and lived in 13 locations and 4 countries during her husband's military career during which she became a mother and homemaker.

She enjoyed zoomba, working out at the Sport Fit Severna Park, and shopping with her girlfriends.

Survivors include her husband, COL Jeffrey Lawes Gwilliam, U.S. Army Ret. of Severna Park, two daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Gwilliam of Washington, DC and Lynsey Maria Gwilliam of Severna Park; parents, Maria and COL Nicholas Andreacchio U.S. Army Ret. of Lakewood, Washington; one brother, Joseph Andreacchio of Whidbey Island, Washington; and one sister, Maria Andreacchio of Lakewood, Washington.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 1:00 pm at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment will be at MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
