Elizabeth Ruark

Elizabeth Marie Fischer Ruark, 84, a resident of Severna Park for the past 50 years, died of complications from Parkinson's disease Aug. 3 at home after a three-year illness.

Mrs. Ruark was born April 27, 1923, in Baltimore, where she was reared.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking. Her interests also included art, oil painting, fishing, waterskiing, snowskiing and golf.

Surviving are her husband, John Ruark; one son, Lou Ruark of Stevensville; one daughter, Linda Marie Kiser of West River; one sister, Catherine Allen of Glen Burnie; one brother, William Fischer of Baltimore; and one grandchild.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, where funeral services will be held at noon at Tuesday. Burial will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
