Elsie Aileen Asti, 82, of Pasadena, died of cancer May 14 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Born June 21, 1922 at Shenandoah, Pa., Mrs. Asti moved to Severna Park in 1959 and later lived in Pasadena.
She began her career at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and later became an administrative assistant at the Naval Sea Systems Command at the Plant Equipment Support Office in Annapolis. She was a mentor to young women who came to work in her office.
She enjoyed boating, gardening and being outdoors.
Survivors include two daughters, Alison L. Asti of Pasadena, and Andrea L. Asti of New York; two sisters, Estelle Parker and Pauline Kline, both of Harrisburg, Pa.,; and three grandchildren. She was married to the late Andrew Paul Asti.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Barranco & Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where the memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Burial will be private.
