Elfi G. Fowler, 72, a resident of Arnold, died on October 16, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, due to complications from a weak heart after a ine month illness.
She was born on November 03, 1935 in Munich, Germany, where she was raised.
Mrs. Fowler retired from Nationwide Insurance as Senior Workers Comp. Claims Adjuster. She currently worked for Manpower, Inc. as an assistant Workers Comp. Claims Adjuster.
She was a member of Kent Island Elks, Fleet Reserve Club in Annapolis, Edelweiss Club in Baltimore, Polyglot Club, and past member of Insurance Women's Club.
She enjoyed cooking, travelling, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Norwood Fowler, whom she married in 1954, and a daughter, Lisa Miller, who died in 1986.
Survivors include her son, R. Michael Fowler of Arnold, MD and five grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, October 19, 2008 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, MD 21146.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 400 Benfield Road, Severna Park, MD 21146.
Interment will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.
