Eleanor Karr, 87, a 30 year resident of Severna Park, passed peacefully on June 30, 2013 at the Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crownsville, MD.

Eleanor was born to her parents Anthony and Phyllis Majewski on August 12, 1925 in New Jersey. She attended The New Jersey College for Women. She was a homemaker and had also enjoyed many years working with children at the Woods Memorial Child Development Center.

Mrs. Karr was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park where she was formerly active in a weekly prayer group. In addition, she and her husband were members of the Polish Heritage Club in Baltimore and she was previously a member of the Chartwell Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles and
cooking for her family.

Mrs. Karr is survived by her daughters, Maryann Schimpff (Paul J.) of Wynnwood, PA and Joan Ott (Thomas) of Arnold; as well as, five grandchildren, Molly, Cady and Paul M. Schimpff and Michael and Jamie Ott. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 57 years, John A. Karr.
