Eleanor T. Flanagan, 85, a resident of Catonsville, MD, passed away on August 10, 2018.

Eleanor was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. She graduated as the Salutatorian from Southern High in 1951.  She previously resided in Linthicum, Annapolis, Grasonville, Easton and Fort Myers, FL. Eleanor was employed for many years with the Board of Education of Anne Arundel County, working at Hillsmere Elementary and at the Headquarters office.

Eleanor loved her family, especially her 8 grandchildren; Evan, Colleen, Madeline, Kelly, Ellison, Owen, Aidan and Dane. She was passionate about all of their accomplishments.  She was a long time Orioles fan, having attended many games.  She also loved the Colts and the Ravens, and occasionally asked her children to pass on her recommendations to the owner.

Eleanor is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years Jack Flanagan, Jr.  She is survived by her three children, Jack Flanagan III (Barbara) of Severna Park, MD; Susan Scholl (Christopher), of West Chester, PA; and Jill Madsen (Christian) of Annapolis MD; her two sisters-in-law Peggy Wedel and Janice Hoddinott, many nieces and nephews as well as her 8 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018, at 11:00 am at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146.
