Dale Gallimore Jr.
E.H. Dale Gallimore Jr., 63, an attorney and resident of Millersville, died Dec. 19 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of complications of lymphoma.
Formerly a longtime resident of Alexandria, Va., Mr. Gallimore had his own private practice. Previously, he was an assistant attorney general for the state of Maryland, division counsel for Ford Aerospace/Loral, contract attorney for the General Service Administration and contract litigator for the building of the Washington Metro.
He served with the Judge Advocate General Corps in the Army and was stationed in Vietnam from 1971 to 1972.
Mr. Gallimore was born in New York, N.Y., on Nov. 14, 1943, and reared in Tulsa, Okla. He also lived in Grosse Pointe, Mich. He received his bachelor of arts degree in political science and his law degree from the University of Tulsa.
Admitted to the practice of law in Maryland, Michigan and Oklahoma, he was a member of the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Association and completed pro-bono work for the homeless and at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park. Mr. Gallimore was an active volunteer at the church and for the Greater Severna Park Council Inc. His interests also included jazz, music and U.S. history.
Surviving are his wife, Julie Gallimore; two sons, E.H. Dale Gallimore III of Arnold and Robert H.B. Gallimore of Norman, Okla.; his mother, Velma Briley Gallimore, and one sister, Clover R. Gallimore, both of Tulsa; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Woods Church, with burial in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville.
