Edward Wayne Taylor, 80, passed away on July 27th, 2021 after battling cancer and Parkinson's. A native of Philadelphia, Ed graduated from Bloomsbury University of Pennsylvania, and went on to receive his Masters in Education at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Ed taught in numerous high schools throughout Anne Arundel County, while also pursuing and maintaining a successful real estate career.

A resident of Olde Severna Park since 1974, Ed coached his sons' teams in baseball and soccer, was an early member of the Annapolis Striders, and loved running and biking—as well as working out under a ridiculously low grandfathered membership rate at the old Big Vanilla (now YMCA). He was an avid and lifelong coin collector, and a member of the Annapolis Coin Club. He was a faithful member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, volunteering countless middle of the night hours to the Winter Relief Program.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Howard Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor, his brother, Charles Taylor, and son, Jason Taylor. He's survived by his son Tim Taylor (Carolyn) of Severna Park, and by his grandchildren Hannah, Sarah, and Wyatt Taylor. He's also survived by his ex-wife, Kathleen Taylor, and his loving partner, Bonnie "Cricket" Counselman, as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Ed also leaves behind his love of the Philadelphia Phillies, his unabashed dance moves, his knack for talking your ear off (whether he knew you or not), his immense pride in his family, and his kind heart and generous spirit.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 19th, 2021 at 1:00PM at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 400 Benfield Rd, Severna Park, MD, 21146. A Celebration of life will follow from 2-4PM at Olde Severna Park Community Beach, 199 Maple Ave, Severna Park, MD, 21146. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County www.aacspca.org or to The Chesapeake Bay Foundation www.cbf.org
