Edward T. Mullen, 93, of Severna Park, passed away on February 17, 2024. He was born on March 10, 1930, in Baltimore, MD, and resided in Severna Park since 1968.

Edward served in the Merchant Marines from 1950-1953. He additionally served in the Army during the Korean War in 1953-1955 as a Corporal. Additionally, he was an actor in the movie Target Zero. Edward then went on to work for the Baltimore City Police Department where he retired in 1987 and worked as a Detective in the Fraud Unit with almost 28 years of service. He was a member of the Baltimore City FOP Lodge #3.

Edward loved playing golf and tennis. He also enjoyed reading books. Edward was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Severna Park.

Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen S. Mullen; and son, Dennis J. Mullen. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara M. Shortridge (Rick), son, Timothy B. Mullen (Carol); 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm in Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.

Interment will be held privately at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
