Edward Francis Meinecke, 76, of Severna Park, MD, died on December 25, 2016 at a rehabilitation center where he was recovering from recent illnesses. Ed was born on July 31, 1940 in Baltimore where he lived for the first 35 years of his life.

In 1954, he was granted a scholarship from Westinghouse and John Hopkins University. He achieved a BSEE from JHU in 1963 and an MSEE from JHU in 1965. Ed started working at Westinghouse at the age of 18. He would retire from Northrop Grumman in 1999, with the combined years of service of 42 years. Ed enjoyed hunting, shooting, boating, bowling and traveling.

He is survived by his brother, Charles Meinecke, girlfriend, Saundra Teclaw, stepson, Matt Ridenour, and 16 nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 7pm. A Masonic Service will follow the visitation. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held at the Bohemian National Cemetery in Baltimore.
