Edith Elizabeth Curry, 87, of Solomons, died of natural causes Feb. 24 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born Dec. 18, 1918, in Baltimore, Mrs. Curry graduated from the Maryland Institute of Art. During World War II, she worked for Lockheed Martin as an engineering draftsman. Later she worked for Krosner Bodine and Hebbel and was owner and operator with her husband, H. Quentin Curry, of Curry's Pottery.
She was a member of the Annapolis Watercolor Club and the Order of the Eastern Star.
An accomplished artist, she enjoyed participating in activities at the Arnold Senior Center, painting, quilting and travel.
In addition to her husband, surviving are one daughter, Colleen Mawicke of Severna Park; one son, Glenn Curry of Arnold; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road. Burial will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville.
