Edeltraud "Ede" G. Paetz, passed away on October 28, 2020.

She was born on May 29, 1927 in Germany. She lived through World War II in Germany, made it through the Great Depression, and escaped to America to make a new life for herself and her daughter, Karin Gorman. Anyone who knew her would say "She was the strongest woman I knew." She survived Breast Cancer, a heart attack and a stroke.

Ede has most recently been a resident of Severna Park for many years. Ede worked as a hair stylist early in life. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and had a love of music. Ede loved helping to raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She shared stories of her many travels of the world and of her great history. She spoke three languages, enjoyed the water, beach and loved her Maryland crabs. Ede lived a long, happy life and her family was blessed with many years of love.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karin Gorman, in 2015. Ede is survived by her granddaughter, Patricia Cooper, of Severna Park; grandson, Robert Gorman, of Ocean Pines; granddaughter, Michelle Wade; great-granddaughter, Dezarea Gorman of Severna Park; great-grandsons, Private Michael Bate and Justin Bate, of Severna Park; great-grandsons, Robert Gorman Jr. and Fallen Gorman, of Ocean Pines;  great-grandson, Ryan Wade; great-granddaughter, Tori Wade; and four great-grandchildren.
