Earle Dashiell
Earle Stewart Dashiell, 87, of Severna Park died April 25 at Crofton Convalescent Center.
Mr. Dashiell was known as "Dash." He was born May 4, 1919, in Baltimore, graduated from Baltimore City College and joined the Maryland State Police. He enlisted in the Army Air Force, serving during World War II. After the war, he moved with his family to Severna Park and enjoyed coaching lacrosse at Severn School there.
Mr. Dashiell held numerous positions in the insurance industry. He was a partner in several firms including Ford, Dashiell, Barnes and Jarrett and Cross Keys Insurance Agency. He retired in 1992.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Lois Dashiell; two sons, Dr. Earle S. Dashiell of Severna Park and Michael Ross Dashiell of Stewartstown, Pa.; one daughter, Lois Grobb of Winston Salem, N.C.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
