Earl Hamlett, a 32 year resident of Severna Park, passed away suddenly, surrounded by loved ones, on November 6, 2015 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Earl was born in Charlotte Court House, VA on October 13, 1938 to his parents Otha & Sis Hamlett. He was raised in Curtis Bay and later lived in North Kingstown, RI.

Earl worked in Power Generations for General Electric and also served time in the Navy. He was a member of the Severna Park American Legion Post 175. He enjoyed spending time with his boys, Otha Earl Hamlett III & Michael Hamlett, boating, working on computers, and history.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents Otha & Sis Hamlett; 2 sisters, Lois Oakes & Myrtle Schmidt; and 1 daughter Gina Holmes. Earl is survived by his wife Kathie Hamlett; 2 sons, Otha Earl Hamlett III & Michael Hamlett; 3 daughters, Cheryl Rawley, Colleen Medeiros, and Susan Coombs; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Earl is also survived by 1 sister, Jean Reier.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 4-6:30pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, with a Funeral Service to begin at 6:30pm. Interment will be private.
