Adelaide Wehrenberg

E. Adelaide Wehrenberg, 84, a resident of Severna Park for 24 years, died of natural causes Nov. 10 at South Portland Nursing Home in Maine.

Mrs. Wehrenberg was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Baltimore, where she was reared.

She retired on June 21, 1985, after 24 years of services working at the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad.

Her interests included sewing, crocheting, reading and gardening. She was a member of the National Association of Railway Business Women since 1971, where she held many elected offices.

She was the widow of William M. Wehrenberg. Surviving are one son, William M. Wehrenberg Jr. of Shepherdsville, Ky.; one daughter, Linda E. Banister of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; two sisters, Mary Lou Babbington of Baltimore and Naomi Serwatka of Pasadena; one brother, Alson C. Douglas of Houston; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville.
