Douglas O. Minton, a resident of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on August 6, 2025. He was born on September 8, 1942, to Odelle and Paul Minton of Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Maryland and served in the U.S. Army.
He met his wife Nancy J. Minton (Knouse) at a disco in 1969, married shortly after and the rest was history. After years of traveling and living overseas, they settled in the Cape St. Claire community in Annapolis, Maryland, where they raised their family.
Douglas enjoyed a career in the federal government and greatly valued his faith and time with family. His love for travel took him around the world including Europe, Morocco and South Africa. Most recently, he loved his trips to Florida, especially the Keys.
He retired to Heritage Shores in Bridgeville, DE where he enjoyed golfing, books, good restaurants and time with friends and family.
He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Minton, who passed 10 days prior to him.
He is survived by his sons, Paul (Angie) of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, Jason of Brownsboro, Alabama and Todd (Claire) Minton of Severna Park, Maryland, and his many beloved grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday November 15, 2025 at 11:00am at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd, Severna Park, MD 21146. With a luncheon to follow in the fellowship hall.
