Dorothy "Dee" Rose Blomquist, 82, a resident of Severna Park, MD passed away at home on June 9, 2022.

She was born on September 2, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland, where she was raised and attended Institute of Notre Dame High School. Dee received her teaching certificate from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and taught fifth grade at Saint Jane Frances in Riviera Beach.

She married her husband Maynard Blomquist on April 25, 1965, and they lived in Riviera Beach until 1980 when they moved to Severna Park.

She enjoyed traveling with her family (especially cruising), entertaining with her family and friends, and a good softshell crab sandwich followed by a piece of quality chocolate. She also did extensive volunteer work and started a charity shop for Hospice of the Chesapeake.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Maynard Blomquist; one son, Eric Blomquist (Sharon) of West Charleston, Vermont; her daughter, Adrienne Rosone (Joe) of Jefferson, MD; her two sisters, Jane DiJulio and Ann Whitney; her two grandchildren, Francesca Rosone and Dominic Rosone.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 2-5 pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD, 21146. A funeral service will be held the following day, Monday, June 13, 2022 at 9:30 am at the funeral home. The burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 7231 Ritchie Hwy, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
