Dorothy Pauline McElwee of Arnold, MD died December 14, 2011 at Hospice of the Chesapeake, Mandrin House, Harwood, MD, at the age of 87 of heart failure.

She was the daughter of the late Lydia and Charles Trosper. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Jack H. McElwee.

She is survived by her children Pamela (McElwee) Cosgrove and her husband Daniel of Waldorf, MD, Paula (McElwee) Bragg and her husband William (Rick) of LaVista, NE, Lisa McElwee of Towson, MD, and Michael McElwee of Edgewater, MD. In addition to her children, she is survived by her eight grandchildren Michael Bragg, Laura Vucci, Kimberly Mackrill, Ryan McMullen, Amanda Herbert, Jeffrey Cosgrove, Jackie Major, Nicole McElwee; seven great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, where a service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
