Dorothy V. Lowman, wife of Judge Donald M. Lowman, died in her sleep after a long illness. They were married for 63 years.

The daughter of Alexander and Virginia Sosnowski, she was born in Baltimore and raised in Anne Arundel County. She was 87 years of age.

They had two children, Donald Dale Lowman and the late Aubrey Lee Lowman.

In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed by the State of Maryland and last worked at the Hall of Records agency in Jessup, Maryland as a bookkeeper and records clerk. She retired from state employment in 1989.
Dorothy enjoyed her large family, crafts, sewing, cooking, the beach, traveling and vacations, and visiting Casinos in many states.

She was sister to the late Marie Schuessler, Alexander Sosnowski Jr., Harry Sosnowski, Ethel Helms, Robert Sosnowski, Theresa Sosnowski, Paul Sosnowski, and Edward Sosnowski.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Donald Dale Lowman, two sisters, Alexis K. Callahan and Joan Roberts, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday February 27, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 6-8:00 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday February 28, 2014 at 1:00pm in the funeral home. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
