Dorothy Helen Jarema, 69, a resident of Severna Park, passed away at home on July 10, 2010, after a brief illness.
She was born on March 19, 1941 in Baltimore, MD and raised in Canton, MD. She attended St. Brigidt's Catholic School and Catholic High School.
Dorothy was self- employed as owner to a grocery store from 1960-1971 and a check cashing store from 1981-2000.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Senior's Club.
Dorothy enjoyed bingo, slot machines, traveling, volunteering at the church, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Casimer Jarema.
Survivors include her three daughters, Rosemarie Gutridge of Pasadena, Diana Alt of Glen Burnie, and Jo Ann Jarema of Glen Burnie and two grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus in Baltimore, MD.
