Dorothy Frances Hubbard (nee Blanchfield) passed away on December 28, 2025.

Dorothy was born to Mary (nee Shiroky) and John Blanchfield on March 17, 1930. She was one of ten children in the Blanchfield family and was raised in Severna Park. Dorothy married William Hubbard in 1947. Together they had four children, Dorothy, William (Bill), Denise and Michael. Dorothy and William raised their family in Severna Park and were longtime residents. They moved to Kent Island in 1978.

Dorothy loved word search books, crossword puzzles and reading. She was a stay at home mom, and was devoted to her family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1996 and her sons, Michael in January 2019 & William (Bill) in February, 2025, as well as her grandson, Michael Jr in 2015 and granddaughter, Lynn Peacock in 2019.

She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Hubbard Priest (Mark), of Chesapeake, VA, and Denise Hubbard, of Stevensville, MD; her daughter-in-law, Anna Hubbard, of Stevensville, MD; her sisters, Patricia Brown and Marie Beckett; granddaughters,

Kristen Ryan (David), Karey Muller (Gregory) and Stephanie Tippett (Christopher) and grandson, Joshua Hubbard; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on January 11th from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. The burial will be held on January 12th with a cemetery chapel service at 11:30am at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032.
