Dorothy Hoffman (nee Beckwith), 92, a 15 year resident of Ocean Pines, MD, died on August 2, 2010 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD, after a 2 week illness of kidney failure,

She was born February 16, 1918 in Baltimore, where she was raised, and previously lived in Severna Park and Brooklyn Park.

Mrs. Hoffman was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Carl A. Hoffman, who died in 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Lawrence B. Hoffman and his wife Joann and Alan C. Hoffman and his wife Kathy; three grandchildren, Laurie H. Battaglia, Karen DeLude and her husband Jeff, and Kimberly Hoffman; and two great grandchildren, Noah DeLude and Kyle DeLude.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn.
