Dorothy E. Goodhand, 85, a resident of Cape St. Claire since 1961, died of heart failure June 3 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Born and reared in Baltimore City, Mrs. Goodhand graduated from Eastern High School.
She was a secretary for many years.
Mrs. Goodhand was a member of the Cape St. Claire Garden Club and Cape St. Claire United Methodist Church and Board of Child Care.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, crafts, animals, sports and boating.
Her husband, Samuel Pratt Goodhand, died Jan. 7, 1995.
Surviving are a niece and two nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cape St. Claire United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Sudlerville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Cape St. Claire United Methodist Church, 855 Chestnut Tree Drive, Annapolis, MD 21401.
