Dorothy A. Cooley, 83, a resident of Harwood, MD passed away peacefully at home on September 22, 2021.  She is survived by her daughter, Lori R. Dorman of Harwood, MD, her brother, George William Norfolk of Pasadena, MD, her 3 Grandsons, Walter J. Shinn, III of Federalsburg, MD, Daniel R. Shinn of Harwood, MD and Matthew C. Dorman of Lothian, MD,  2 Great Granddaughters, Ryleigh Marie Shinn and Summer Haven Dorman,  and 1 Great Grandson, Mason Oakleigh Shinn.

Dorothy had a long career as an Insurance Representative at Nationwide Insurance Company and most recently at State Farm Insurance.  In earlier years, she was an avid bingo player with her sister and cousin.  Dorothy loved cooking for her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her Great Grandchildren.  She also enjoyed shopping and going to yard sales and estate sales.  She loved tending to her flowers and feeding the birds that visited her backyard.

Dorothy will be missed by all that knew her.

Family and Friends may visit on Wednesday September 29, 2021 from 12:00pm-1:00pm with a service to follow at 1:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment in Hillcrest cemetery.
