Dorothy Mae Clark, 82, of Annapolis, died of cancer Dec. 2 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Clark was born in Bone Gap, Ill., on Jan. 7, 1923, and reared in Newton, Ill. Previously of Severna Park, she resided in the Annapolis area for 40 years.
She attended college in St. Louis, Mo., and worked as a legal secretary for 12 years for Smith and Lucke, a law firm.
She was a deacon at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park and loved to play bridge, travel, sail, do needlework, read and help with Meals on Wheels.
She was the widow of Gerald Cooper Field, who died in 1964, and Trevor Hazard Clark, who died in 1986.
Surviving are her children, Barbara J. White of Annapolis, G. Michael Field of Centreville, Janet Gibson of Owings and Haidee Stith of Lexington, S.C.; two sisters, Mary Jean Turnbull of Lacon, Ill., and Kathlyn Hall of Dover, Del.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., with burial at 11 a.m. Dec. 21 in Arlington National Cemetery.
