Dorothy Vivian Calvert (nee Hoffert) 90, a resident of Annapolis, passed away on July 1, 2015 at Ginger Cove Health Care Center in Annapolis.

She was born on November 10, 1924 in Washington, DC and moved to Severna Park in 1965, and then to Annapolis in 2005. She graduated from the University of Alabama, received her Masters at U.M.B.C., and attended Anne Arundel Community College.

Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed education and reading.
She was a member of the Anne Arundel Historical Society, Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, Severn Town Club, Annapolis Power Squadron, Severn River Association, A.A.R.P., and F.C.E. (Family & Community Education).

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Tallant of Houston; three grandchildren, Stephen Cunningham, Patricia Dudney, and Barbara Dudney; four great-grandchildren, Steve Cunningham, Ashley Cunningham, Cierra Chavis, and Brianna Dudney; and three great-great grandchildren, Gracie Cunningham, Colton Cunningham, and Ayden Cunningham.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd, Severna Park, MD 21146.

Interment will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
