Dorothy Mary Sanford Brooks, of Oakleigh Forest in Severna Park, passed away on Memorial Day. She was the wife of the late Cdr. Clarence Brooks, Jr. and daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Clinton Sanford of Stamford, CT. Mrs. Brooks was born in Danbury, CT and graduated from Stamford High School.  She attended Southern Seminary in Buena Vista, VA.  Dorothy was a member of the Oakleigh Forest Garden Club, the Woman's Golf Association, & the Naval Academy Woman's Club.    She is survived by her son Scott D. Brooks of Severna Park; nephew, John Sanford; & niece Margaret Novac.  A Memorial Gathering will be held at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park, on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm. Interment will be private.
