Doris Marie Bennett Yount, 75, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021. Doris was born in Doncaster, England on December 12, 1945, daughter of the late Ada and Owen Bennett. Doris was a graduate of Catonsville High School. She served as a flight attendant for American Airlines for several years before marrying the late Robert "Bob" Yount in 1967 and becoming a full-time, loving mother to her children Kimberly and Scott.

Doris spent her early years taking care of her family. As the kids grew up, she picked up part time jobs and even owned her own tennis store in

Louisville, KY. She enjoyed working as a marketing/merchandising rep for several top-brand vendors and still found the time to help out with school functions and little league games. In 1983, Doris and her family moved to Chartwell in Severna Park, MD. Shortly after the move, she began taking golf lessons and became a very active member of Chartwell Country Club. She played for both the 9 hole and 18 hole group and served on many golf committees over the years.

Doris lived life to the fullest. She was a passionate person with loads of energy. She was dependable, loyal and made friends wherever she went. One her of most admirable qualities was her outlook on life. She never took anything for granted and appreciated every moment with her family and friends. She was an avid golfer, bowler, bridge player and the devoted Mimi to her four beautiful granddaughters. She loved good music, good food, vacations at the beach and spent years travelling to some of the most beautiful places in the world.

Doris is pre-deceased by her husband of 51 years, Robert Yount. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Judge and husband William, her son Scott Yount and wife Laura, her brother Wayne Bennett and his wife Pam, her niece Emily and nephew Greg, her four granddaughters Taylor, Hannah, Samantha and Kennedy and her dear friend and companion Michael Kushner.

The funeral service will be private. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in her honor to:
