Doris Marie Silfies, 68, of Linthicum, MD, died at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on June 28, 2009 due to heart failure.
She was born in Baltimore on December 19, 1940. Raised in Baltimore, she graduated from Southern High School. She later moved to Linthicum in 1975.
Mrs. Silfies worked with her family business, E. First Financial. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Church in Linthicum. She enjoyed boating, snow skiing, and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Silfies is survived by her husband, Wayne Silfies, whom she married in 1966; her daughter, Andrea Wagner of Crownsville, MD; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Silfies.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 1:00pm. An entombment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
