Doris Rachel (Hilkert) Seville, 84, formerly of Annapolis and Severna Park, MD, passed away Sunday, December 28 at Riverwoods Nursing Home, Lewisburg, where she had been a resident the last four and one half years.

She was born December 20, 1930 in Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Raymond Lee and Hellen Moll (Baker) Hilkert. On December 24, 1950 she married Marlin Nelson Seville, who preceded her in death in October of 2002. Together they celebrated 51 years of marriage. Doris was a 1948 graduate of Milton Area High School and a 1951 graduate of Harrisburg Hospital where she earned a degree in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse most of her adult life. Doris retired from Anne Arundel Hospital, Annapolis, MD as an IV Therapy Supervisor in 1989 after 35 years of service. She was an active member of the College Parkway Baptist Church in Arnold, MD.

Upon retirement she and her husband enjoyed travelling in their motor home throughout the U.S. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In recent years, she enjoyed attending chapel services at Riverwoods and was known as the "puzzle lady" among her relatives and the many friends she made there.

Surviving are one daughter, Janice Ruth Harris, of Riva, MD; five brothers and five sisters-in-law, Dale and Miriam Hilkert, of Mount Vernon, OH, Esther Hilkert, of Hillsborough NJ, Larry and Gladys Hilkert, of Clearwater, FL, William Hilkert, of Mifflinburg, Paul and Louise Hilkert, of Lewisburg and Lewis and Gayle Hilkert, of West Unity, OH; four grandchildren, Daniel Lee Harris, Elizabeth E. Harris, Justin Greathouse and Amanda Seville; and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, Jeffrey Lee Seville; and two brothers, Ernest and Warren Hilkert.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Riverwoods and Evangelical Hospice for the wonderful care administered to Doris.

Friends may visit on Sunday January 4, 2015 from 1-3:00pm in the Barranco & Sons,P.A Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A short Prayer Service and Interment will be held promptly on Monday January 5, 2015 at 11:30am in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, MD. Following interment a small luncheon will be held at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Edgewater, MD
