Doris Strack Johns passed away peacefully on July 19, 2015 at Charlestown Retirement Home in Catonsville, Maryland. She was a longtime resident of Severna Park, Maryland.

Doris was born in Washington, DC on August 2, 1935 to Arthur Joseph Stack and Mildred T. Strack. A former nurse, she had a love of gardening, traveling, dancing and spending time with her family.

Doris is survived by her son Steven Johns and his wife Erica as well as granddaughters Ashley Carter and Kelly Carter. She is preceded in death by her husband William Johns, daughter Devon Carter, and son William Johns, Jr. Family and friends are welcomed for a funeral service to celebrate Doris' life on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. A private interment will take place following the funeral service on Tuesday at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
