Doris Jean Jenkins, 74, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2014 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.

Doris was born on January 10, 1940 in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. She always considered Severna Park, Maryland to be her true home where she spent time with her most dear friends.

Doris graduated from Hopewell High School in Pennsylvania and received a Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University. She went on to earn a Master's Degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and worked as a Microbiologist for the Environmental Protection Agency.

Doris is survived by her brother, Charles Jenkins and his wife, Vicky. She was the most loved and dear friend of Sandi Tibbs. She will be missed as a cherished friend to Patti Lowe (Melvin), Michael Lowe (Karen), Robert Lowe, Melanie Smith, and Helen Keller (Kevin). She was a loving Godmother to Jamie and a special "Aunt Jean" to Alexis, D.J., Jordan, Taylor, Andrew, Seth, and Katie. She will be missed deeply by the many friends whose lives she touched.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville following the funeral service.
