Doris L. Hardy, 78, a resident of Arnold for eight years, died on June 6, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center due to complications from surgery.

Mrs. Hardy was born on July 13, 1929 in Washington , D.C. , where she was also raised. In addition, Mrs. Hardy resided on the Eastern Shore for twelve years and in Bartow , Florida for two years.

Mrs. Hardy was a homemaker who loved visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed animals and loved gardening and technology.

She is survived by three daughters, Peggy J. Grigonis or Arnold , MD , Cheryll A. Hardy of Salisbury, MD, and Mary Louise Miles of Cape Coral, FL; two sons, Michael E. Hardy of Charlotte, NC and Roy E. Hardy III of Bryans Road, MD; fifteen grandchildren and five great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Hardy, Jr and her daughter, Theresa A. Rodden.

Friends and family may visit on Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. John the Evangelist Church on Tuesday at 10:00 am. Interment will be private.
