Doris (Dee) Grace Lancaster passed peaceably on January 30th 2024 at the age of 91 from complications resulting in a fall and a stroke.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years Spear Lancaster, her two sons Simon and Jackson, daughter in law Jeannette, granddaughter Courtney, grandson's Shaun and Drake and a great grandson Nolan.  Dee was born in FL and attended Hillsboro High School is in Tampa, Florida and Later attended nursing school in Miami. Afterwards she moved to Washington DC and joined her mother there Sarah Grace Butler who obtained a job with the Navy Yard.  There she met her future husband as a dance instructor at the Author Murray studios in DC Later she helped him build the business as a manufacturer's representative as the office mgr.

Dee loved to travel dance good food and competitive bridge.  She lived a long, rich and productive life.

At this time a small service is being planned for sometime in late April.
