Dorcus J. Cowing, 93, of Severna Park, MD passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday March 12, 2025.

Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1931, Dorcus was a true Buckeye at heart. This is where she met her husband Albert. With their family started they moved to Pittsburgh, PA and then on to Chartwell in Severna Park, MD. In the later years they rotated between homes in Florida and Maryland.

Dorcus was always involved and loved Gardening, Traveling, Bridge, Sewing, Family and Friends. All that knew her will always remember her infectious personality and her striking beauty both inside and out.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Corbia, Husband Albert, Son Bill and Daughter-in-Law Sherri. She is survived by sons Chris (Kelly) and Todd (Dee), Daughter-in Law Lynn, Grandchildren, Chris Jr., Carie, Brooks, Ashley, Lauren, TJ and Alexis. She is also survived by 5 Great Grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday March 30, 2025 from 2:00pm-4:00pm with a service starting at 3:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A 495 Ritchie hwy Severna Park, MD 21146.
