Donna Lee Sakenes, age 75 of Severna Park, MD, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, December 14, 2018. She was born to the late Douglas Jones and Marion Spillane Jones on November 25, 1943.
Donna worked at Fort Meade for over 35 years and retired in 1996, as a military Pay Roll Supervisor for the Department of Army. She was the owner of Bill & Billie Q Club for about 26 years. Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Sakenes. Donna is survived by two children, Michelle Ailstock and Frederick Smith, II, and 4 grandchildren, Amanda Squires, Ryan Smith, Justin Ailstock, and Ashley Ailstock, 3 great grandchildren, Gavin, Gage, and Sammy, and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park. Funeral services will be at 3 pm on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the funeral home.  A reception will be held on Thursday, after the Funeral Service, at 4:00pm at Chartwell Country Club, 1 Chartwell Dr, Severna Park, MD 21146. The interment will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032 on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10:45 am. For those headed to the cemetery, the procession will be leaving the funeral home on time at 10:10 am.
