Donna Clingan
Donna Miller-Clingan, 60, a resident of Millersville for 25 years, died of pancreatic cancer March 12 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Born October 14, 1947, she was raised in Brooklyn Park and resided in Severn for 10 years.
Ms. Miller-Clingan graduated from Brooklyn Park High School in 1965 and Waynesburg College in 1969. She earned her master's degree in education from Johns Hopkins in 1991 and worked in the Anne Arundel County Public School System.
Ms. Miller-Clingan was a social studies teacher at Central Middle School and Brooklyn Park High School, a guidance counselor at Central Middle School, assistant principal at Magothy River Middle and principal at Magothy River Middle School and Lindale Middle School.
She was a past member of Shipley's Choice Garden Club, enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, knitting with neighbors and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her father, Donald W. Harryman.
Survivors include her husband, Richard R. Clingan, of Millersville, whom she married May 28, 1992; her mother, Mildred M. Harryman of Millersville; one son, Craig D. Miller of Rockville; one daughter, Tracie M. Machi of Severn; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service is at 4 p.m. Monday at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 400 Benfield Road.
Interment is private. Arrangement are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
