Donna L. Houchin passed away on May 2 ^nd at home with her family nearby. She died of heart failure. She was born in Clementon, NJ to Oscar H. Behnke and Dorothy E. Behnke. She was pre-deceased by her sister Barbara. After graduating from high school, she was a secretary for Campbell Soup in Camden, NJ.

She met her husband David in September in September 1961. They were married on November 30, 1963. Together they have two sons, David Jr. and Paul Gregory. Donna loved sailing and nature. She volunteered at CBEC in Grasonville, MD and Tri State Bird rescue and research in Newark, DE. She enjoyed the winter waterfowl and her purple martin colony. In 1999 and 2000 she volunteered with the project to fly trumpeter swans from Beatrice, NY to Grasonville behind ultra-light aircraft.

A service will be held on Monday May 8, 2023 at 12pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday May 9, 2023 at 12pm at Berlin Cemetery 40 Clementon Rd Berlin, NJ 08009.
