Donald "Deadeye" Hugel, 77, a resident of Stevensville, died on March 26, 2015 at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville.
He was born on January 5, 1938 in Baltimore and was raised in Marley, MD.
Donald was a carpenter for the U.S. Naval Academy until his retirement. He was a member of the Moose Club and he enjoyed woodworking, traveling, crabbing, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Florence Hugel; his children, David W. Hugel of MD, Constance Bulgart-Hugel of NC, Michael Hugel of FL, Jeffrey Hugel of MD, Philip Hugel of MD; and his step-children, Cynthia Dawson of VA, James Dawson of TN, and John Dawson of MD. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, March 29th from 3-5 pm and 7-9pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 30th at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie. A reception will follow at the Arundel Christian Church, 710 Aquahart Road, in Glen Burnie.
