Donald L. Crist, Sr., 52, a resident of Edgewater for 29 years, died on June 12, 2008, at Anne Arundel Medical Center, due to natural causes after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Crist was born March 28, 1956 in Annapolis, Maryland and raised in Arnold, Maryland.

He was a former Pepsi-Cola Salesman for 15 years and then worked at Coca-Cola for 8 years. He then became an independent trucker for the last 14 years.

He enjoyed working and restoring old cars. He belonged to Bay Country Vans from 1978-1984.

He was preceded in death by his late wife Sherry Lee Crist, whom he had married in 1974, and his late brother, James S. Crist, Jr.

Survivors include his son, Donald L. Crist, Jr. of Centreville, MD; a daughter, Amy M. Crist of Edgewater, MD; three brothers, Nelson G. Crist of Arnold, MD, Steven Crist of Summerfield, FL, and Richard Crist of Scottsdale, AZ; and his five grandsons, Devin, Trevor, Colby, Tyler and Jacob.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, June 18 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, June 19 at 11:00 AM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge, MD.
